International Expert Delegation Conducted On-Site Inspection of the "Henan (Budweiser) Parabolic Solar Project"

Mar 26, 2025

Recently, an international delegation comprised some prominent industry experts to conduct an on-site inspection of the Henan (Budweiser) Parabolic Solar Project. The delegation included experts from the UK and Belgium: Aaron Lindley, Neel Herar, Thomas Brewer, Tom Purkhardt, and Niels Langenaeken, and Chen Jun, the ZBS Power and Sustainable Expert from Budweiser.

During the inspection process, Song Zhiya, the PM of Hotran, delivered a detailed presentation on the Parabolic Solar Project. The introduction encompassed the project’s design philosophy of optimizing the solar efficiency in energy conversion. On the technical side, Song also highlighted that this system enables direct production of medium-temperature steam at 150-200°C, which brings a 3 times higher efficiency of solar-heat transition than conventional photovoltaic systems.

The delegation showed great interest in this project to prompt in-depth technical exchanges and forward-looking discussions on industry trends. Experts concurred that parabolic solar technology retains considerable potential for enhancement in conversion efficiency and cost reduction through ongoing technological advancements. Regarding application prospects, experts emphasized the technology’s broad applicability in industrial steam generation as well as power generation sectors and projected its critical role in optimizing energy structures under the global imperative for green energy transition. Challenges encountered in practical implementations were thoroughly addressed, with mutual sharing of empirical insights and solutions. The delegation acknowledged the project’s remarkable achievements in technological implementation and environmental benefits, thereby recognizing its value as an exemplary reference for international solar thermal utilization.

This inspection activity not only deepened international experts’ understanding of the Henan (Budweiser) project, but also established a robust platform for technical collaboration between Hotran, Budweiser’s Engineering Department, and Global Counterparts. All parties expressed commitment to strengthening cooperation in parabolic solar technology to jointly advance solar thermal utilization. It is anticipated that through multilateral efforts, this technology will witness expanded applications across diverse fields, which contributes more to global energy transition and sustainable development.
