Hotran Successfully Completes In-Depth Efficiency Testing of Self-Developed 60HP Water-Source Heat Pump Unit

Aug 14, 2025

To better align with fluctuations in real-world operating conditions and enhance the energy efficiency performance of our units—ensuring more reliable and optimized products and services for every customer—Hotran conducted a rigorous three-day efficiency test on its self-developed 60HP water-source heat pump unit. The testing took place from July 14–16 at a national-level laboratory center in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, in strict compliance with the Chinese National Standard GB/T 25861-2023: "Steam Compression Cycle Water-Source High-Temperature Heat Pump Units."

The core objective was to obtain accurate performance data under stringent, standardized, and diversified operating conditions. To ensure the highest accuracy and reliability of results, the company dispatched its technical team to oversee the entire process. Our engineers remained on-site throughout the testing period, simulating real-world operating states and conducting round-the-clock shifts to meticulously collect and analyze comprehensive operational data.

An outstanding energy efficiency performance : COP=4.1!

The final test results were highly encouraging:

The unit’s performance on the test platform closely aligned with data from Hotran’s internal laboratory, validating the rigor of our testing protocols and the reliability of our data.

More notably, under most operating conditions, the unit’s measured Coefficient of Performance (COP) outperformed internal lab data by 0.1–0.2.

These valuable first-hand results precisely map the unit’s performance capabilities and efficiency patterns across diverse environments.

This in-depth validation extends far beyond routine performance checks—it represents a significant advancement in Hotran Tech’s understanding of product performance. We recognize that only through precise knowledge of our equipment can we serve customers effectively.

The unit’s performance exceeded national standards, demonstrating exceptional stability during variable operating conditions. These results provide critical confidence for our next phase: driving energy-saving retrofits in the market.
